ZACHARIAS ARVANITIS

Zacharias Arvanitis was born in Athens in 1947 and studied painting and scenography in the Athens School of Fine Arts (1969-1973). His professors were G. Moralis and V. Vasiliadis.
With state scholarship (1975-1976) he studied costume design - scenography in École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs, Paris.
In 1976 he becomes G. Moralis’ assistant at the 1st art laboratory of the Athens School of Fine Arts up to 1984, when his collaboration with D. Mitaras begins and lasts until 2001.
From 2001 to 2011 was in charge of the 1st art laboratory of the Athens School of Fine Arts.
He is emeritus professor.
He has 5 personal exhibitions and he has participated in group exhibitions
in Greece and abroad: England, Spain, Japan, Egypt, Hungary, China, Armenia e.t.c.
